MDF Moldings
MDF — medium-density fiberboard — is the most-shopped material at MoldingMart, and for good reason. It’s smooth out of the box, takes paint cleanly, won’t warp like solid wood, and costs a fraction of hardwood profiles.
Our Sacramento showroom stocks the full range: baseboards from 2½” to 5¼”, casings for doors and windows, crown molding in dozens of profiles, shelving and skirts, chair rail, wainscoting, and more. Every SKU is in stock, ready for same-day pickup, and priced well below big-box chains.

How to Choose the Right MDF Profile
- Baseboard height — most homes look balanced with 3¼"–5¼" base. Taller ceilings? Go higher.
- Casing width — match the scale of your trim. 2¼" reads modern; 3¼" reads traditional.
- Crown profile — Colonial and Cove styles fit most homes; ornate profiles suit period interiors.
